Observing the world
through painting...
I am a painter living and working in Meeanjin/Brisbane, Australia. The paintings I make are informed by observations of the natural world, philosophy, spiritual contemplation, art history and the painting process itself. While being situated in a contemporary context I make paintings using traditional oil painting techniques. Through this process I connect with history, culture and shared humanity. I aim for my paintings to touch universal truths and speak quietly through the noise of ever changing cultural trends.
