This Workshop has sold out. Places were limited to ten places. Please send me an email to be on a wait-list. With enough interest I will organise to do another workshop as soon as possible.
Students will learn colour mixing for the portrait, head structure, key anatomical landmarks of the portrait and an adaptable alla prima approach in oils while working from a live model.
Morning session will involve live demonstration, sketching the model and a brief colour study from the model. The afternoon session will be one 3hr pose where students have the opportunity to paint an alla prima portrait from life under the guidance of David.
This workshop is intended for people who already have some painting and drawing experience. If you wish to draw only, I can accommodate for this.

Lunch Break : 12pm - 1pm
Afternoon Session : 1pm - 4pm
Held at the Royal Queensland Art Society, U3, 162 Petrie Tce, Brisbane Qld 4000
Materials list and further details will be emailed upon class registration. If you would like a handmade linen panel provided for your portrait, add this at checkout.
